This is an interactive group of maps that allows users to visit virtually, the many contemporary Wabanaki communities across Ckuwaponahkik, “the land of the dawn.” The maps provide detailed information about and photographs of the Penobscot, Passamaquoddy, Mi’kmaq, Wolastoqey (Maliseet) and Abenaki nations within the state of Maine, as well as, displaying map markers to show where all Wabanaki nations are located accross the land of the dawn, i.e., Eastern Canada and Northeastern United States.
